The objective of this study is to expose less-known facts about the migration of ethnic Albans to the area of Slovak republic. In the first part we indicate basic informations about home countries and migration tendencies of Albanian people. In the next par we try to find the roots of Albanian migration to Slovakia and we present the main periods of Albanian immigration in years 1968-70 and after the year 1988. In the final part of the study we focus at the motivation of the immigrants, which is mainly commercial interest, and at the functions of the family and relatives in the migration process.
