O článku:
Development of criminality in Slovakia during the last four year has affected by its violent inerease the process of political and economic transformation. Criminality level shows a growing trend in all districts of Slovakia even though it is spatially considerably differentiated. The study presents a synoptic picture of the state of criminality and chosen criminal acts in individual districts of Slovakia. Evaluation of criminality and chosen criminal acts on the level of district revealed disparity distribution of the observed phenomena determined by numerous factors. By generalization of the analyzed results we arrived to an interesting fact that the territory of Slovakia is from the point of view of quantitative level of criminality dichotomically dissected into two macroregions. From the point of view of absolute values there are eastern and western parts, and from the point of view of relative values northern and southern ones. Nothern and eastern, eventually northeastern macroregion appear from the viewpoint of criminality less affected than the southern and western, eventually southwestern region, remarkable for increased criminality level.
