Switzerland‘s involvement in Erasmus+
Following the suspension of the negotiations on Swiss participation in Erasmus+ in February 2014, Switzerland has the status of a third country (`partner country` in the Erasmus+ terminology). The Swiss Federal Council adopted an interim solution for 2014 and decided to extend it to 2015 and 2016 on 19 September 2014. Switzerland has adopted these measures in order to guarantee the mobility of Swiss participants in the programme, even if our aim remains to be fully associated to Erasmus+.
You will find here below a number of documents which explain our status and the measures taken by the Federal Council:
• Press releases on interim solution for Switzerland‘s involvement in “Erasmus+” (German – Italian – French
• Updated factsheet on Erasmus+ (German – Italian – French)
• Letter distributed to Higher Education Institutions and national agencies (English)
We would be very grateful if you could disseminate this information amongst your respective higher education communities.
