Sense about Science

Dear all

I’m delighted to announce our next Standing up for Science EU workshop, which is co-organised with the Marie Curie Alumni Association. It will take place at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona on Friday 30th November.

I would very much appreciate it if you could share this announcement with all early career researchers in your network and encourage them to apply here. It's a very tight deadline this time, so if you could share this already today, that would be extremely helpful.

The event is open to early career researchers (PhD students, post-doctoral fellows or equivalents) in all sciences - natural sciences, social science, engineering and medicine and is FREE to attend. During the workshop, we combine discussion around misrepresentation of science in the public domain and how evidence influences policy with practical tips and tricks on how early career researchers can start standing up for science.

I’ve included a suggested tweet and some more information below to share, and please see our website for more details. The application deadline is 5pm Monday 29th October.

Please get in touch if you would like more information about this event or about joining the Voice of Young Science partnership.

Best wishes
Sofie
