O článku:
The paper presents an alternative goodness-of-fit test for discrete distributions based on a sample from multinomial distribution. The given computational procedure is useful for deriving the critical region and the size of the test for small samples from the multinomial distribution. In the special case of testing for binomial distribution we compute the size of the (asymptotic) $χ2$ goodness-of-fit test and compare the critical regions for the same significance level of those two tests. Finally, the properties of the empirical distribution function of the $χ2$ goodness-of-fit test statistic are investigated for small samples.
