Functional Literacy and Quality of Job: Mutual Relations, Conceptual and Methodological Approaches. The article focuses on relations between functional literacy and earnings as well as non-monetary characteristics of job quality. It provides an overview of current state of knowledge and research topics. It focuses on conceptual and methodological aspects of research concerning relations between functional literacy and job quality and informs about the data sources available. It introduces the results of international studies proving the relation between functional literacy and job quality even if controlled for education attainment. Further it shows that the research in the Czech Republic and other CEEC countries lacks behind the English speaking countries and on the basis of international comparison it points out to some specifics of these countries which may be an object of further research.
