O článku:
In the paper main morphostructural features of the Western Carpathians and Pannonian Basin in Moravia are discussed in the light of their recent geological research. The different basement of the Bohemian Massif on contacts with the Eastern Alps (Moldanubicum) and the Western Carpathians (Brunovistulicum) have influence on configuration of megamorphostructures as well as on the type and intensity of basement remobilization under Outer Western Carpathians. Special attention is given to: a) double grabens in the contact area of the Bohemian Massif and Carpathian Foredeep (the Upper Moravian Graben as example), b) formation of the flysch nappes, c) young uplifted very heterogenous block of the Middle Moravian Carpathians, d) problems of planation surfaces and their preservation, e) complex structure of the Bílé Karpaty nappe and problem of relief inversion in the Bílé Karpaty Mts., f) the young pull–apart structure of the northern part of the Vienna Basin.
