O článku:
The subject of the paper is topoclimate and particularly the existence and manifestations of local climatic effects (LCE). The author proposes their classification and indicates their presumed manifestations in landscape. As the local climatic effects are possible causes of natural hazards, their presumed environmental consequences are also described. The relatively long history of topoclimatic research along with the need for further investigations result in a very well prepared theory of its study in Central Europe including the Czech and Slovak Republics. Recent information available on the subject of topoclimate represents an indispensable basis for the experimental research, territorial planning and other social activities. It is therefore necessary to focus attention on acquisition and provision of the most realistic and precise information possible concerning the nature of topoclimate. It also means the capacity to identify and describe manifestations and consequences of LCE in cultural landscape.
