The text follows the traces of Slavic musicians and music in the Bulgarian recorded and media music from the first half of the 20th century. The Slavic musicians (temporary migrants or permanent immigrants in Bulgaria) founded the basics of the general trends of development of Bulgarian musical culture: the urban amateur (Czechs and Croatians) and professional (Czechs and Russians) musicing; art (Czech: saloon, military and philharmonic orchestras) and popular music (Russians: Bulgarianized European and Russian urban music; Serbians: Balkan ethno-pop music).
