O článku:
In the last few years, certain group- and polynomial-based public key encryption schemes have succumbed to reaction or chosen ciphertext attacks. We show that the principles underlying these group- and polynomial-based encryption schemes are identical and that the applied attack technique naturally carries over to a generalization of Koblitz's Polly Cracker scheme using Gröbner bases. Finally, we demonstrate that a countermeasure against chosen ciphertext attacks proposed for the Polly Two encryption scheme is insufficient when being combined with the recommended choice of the ground field.
