O článku:
In the territory of the south-Slovakian mountain range Cerová Vrchovina Bergland we can find volcanic relief forms in different stages of exogenic destruction. Morphologically marked domatic elevations were formed projected by erosion-denudation processes from Sarmatian andesite laccoliths exhumed at the beginning of the Pleistocene. The relative altitudes of their summits counting more than 300 m above the bottoms of present-day valley network is at the same time the value of the Quaternary uplift of the centre of morphostructure for the Quaternary. More variable are relief forms formed up on the Plio-Pledstocene Fiľakovo Basalt Formation. The subsequent development of initial volcanic forms of the relief was in most cases marked with inversion, or also being projected. In this way table mountains, elongated fiat ridges, isolated ridges and elevations were formed on lava streams, lava sheets and the sheets of volcanoclastics. Isolated elevations, more or less marked, were formed mostly on rooted bodies, on necks, dykes and diatremes. The most preserved volcanic forms in the territory of the Cerová Vrchovina Bergland are several volcanic cones, the young lava stream of Veľký Bučeň and the youngest medium-Pleistocene volcanic form – the Fiľakovo maar.
