O článku:
In the subject of the Holocene geodynamics of the Earth’s crust emphasis was laid on the assessment of the intensity of the vertical tectonic movements in the lowlands of Slovakia on the basis of the Quatemary-geological, geomorphological, palynological, radiometric (14C) methods complemented by the geodetical methods. For the Danube and East Slovakia lowlands profiles of the Quatemary thickness were assessed, as well as the Holocene accumulations from which the subsidence rate was calculated. In East Slovakian lowland out of the thickness of the Holocene sediments the subsidence rate –l.0mm/year was derived. In the Danube lowland from the fossil trunks of the oaks near Gabčíkovo, in the depth of 18 m, whose age was estimated by the 14C method, tectonic movement was detected in the last 8970 years responding to the values of -2.0mm/year. Data concerning the recent tectonic movements must be considered in the designing Work.
