O článku:
The key concepts of every theoretical frame of reference should be compatible with one another. In this paper, the framework of action theory, is adopted for the reorientation of geographical research. It is argued that traditional human geography is the outcome of a materialistic interpretation of Cartesian dualism, whereas in the framework of action theory, intentionality is central. The concept of intentionality offers a non-reductionist interpretation of the Cartesian mind-body- problem. In light of this interpretation, human geography consequently can no longer be defined as a 'science of space’, but rather as a 'science of action’. The aim of this discipline is therefore to study the spatiality of societies in terms of the agents’ intentions in respect to their corporeality.
