Let $\mathcal{D}$ be a nontrivial $(v,k,λ)$-symmetric design with $11≤λ≤ 100$, and $G≤ Aut(\mathcal{D})$ be flag-transitive and point-primitive. In this paper we prove that the socle of $G$ cannot be an alternating group.
