On the number of the idempotents of some matrix rings

The system of idempotents, resp. of Hermitian idempotents of a unital ring, resp. involutive unital ring forms an orthomodular poset. We will look for the cardinality of these orthomodular posets for rings of matrices over the integers modulo $m$ or over Galois fields. Only in the case of the matrix format $2× 2$ we observe the corresponding formulas.
