Bayesian optimum experimental designs in biology and agriculture

Examples are given of locally and Bayesian $c$- and $D$-optimum designs for nonlinear regression models. The methods are extended to a logistic model for binary data in which males and females respond differently. An extension to $c$-optimality is formulated for the estimation of implicitly defined functions of parameters. Monte-Carlo integration is used for the calculation of Bayesian design criteria.
