MMedSc Eliyahu Dremencov, PhD - curriculum vitae

Eliyahu Dremencov is a member of research teams of the Institutes of Molecular Physiology and Genetics (UMFG) and Experimental Endocrinology (UEE) of the Slovak Academy of Science and of the Department of Neuroscience of the University of Groningen Medical Center and a founding director of Neuroken Consulting, a biomedical R&D consulting enterprise. Previously, Dr Dremencov was a director of the Department of Electrophysiology in Brains On-Line BV, a contract research organization focused in neuroscience 2008-2012) and postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research (2004-2008). Dr Dremencov received his PhD from Bar-Ilan University (2004), and MMedSc (2000) and BSc (1997) degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His areas of scientific interest are pathophysiology of brain diseases, interactions between neurotransmitters, mechanism of action of CNS drugs, and early (preclinical) assessment of their efficacy. Dr Dremencov is an expert consultant for the EU FP7 Program, Medical Research Council (MRC) of the UK, National Research Agency (ANR) of France, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Dr Dremencov is an author of over 40 peer-reviewed publications in the area of neuropsychopharmacology and laureate of several international prises (e.g., CINP Rafaelson Award).
