PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT - 12th Call for SAS-MOST Joint Research Projects (JRP)

By the decision no. 883 of the SAS Presidium from 12 December 2019, the successful bilateral collaboration established between the Academy and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan (MOST) will continue in 2020 with the

 

12th Call for SAS-MOST Joint Research Projects (JRP)

 

The aim of the Call:

The aim of the Call is to support bilateral projects proposed jointly by researchers from SAS and from R&D institutions in Taiwan. It is envisaged that the projects will establish collaborations that should lead to subsequent joint applications in other European and international funding schemes. A valid project application consists of required materials submitted by both sides of the bilateral collaboration to their respective funding organisations (SAS or MOST). A bottom-up approach is applied to this Call, i.e. topics are chosen freely by applicants. Slovak applicants shall submit their proposals under one of the following categories:

a) Inanimate nature, Life sciences and Chemical sciences

b) Society and Culture

Researchers with proposals in the category Society and Culture are particularly encouraged to apply by both funding organisations.

 

Indicative budget for SAS applicants:

a) for projects in the category Inanimate nature, Life sciences and Chemical sciences

up to 40 000 EUR per project per year, of which 15 000 EUR per project per year is an in-kind contribution (spoluúčasť) of the applicant’s organisation.

b) for projects in the category Society and Culture

up to 24 000 EUR per project per year, of which 9 000 EUR per project per year is an in-kind contribution (spoluúčasť) of the applicant’s organisation.

It is expected that 2 projects will be funded within this call.

 

Implemmentation period: 1 January 2021 - 31 December 2023

Call opening: 1 April 2020

Call deadline: 31 May 2020
