About article:
The four four-part hymn adaptations in a manuscript Slovak Lutheran hymnbook without title page (SK-Mms, B III/107) are among the few documented examples of choir adaptations of Slovak hymns in the 17th century. This source, of Central Slovakian provenance, which has not been known hitherto, documents liturgical singing by Slovaks in one of the church choirs of that region at the close of the 17th century.
