About article:
This paper reports the results of the Global Positioning System (GPS) survey that has been used to measure landslide surface displacements. We analysed surface displacements obtained from five GPS campaigns carried out from April 2007 till April 2009 on a network of 42 points in the Ľubietová landslide. The results reveal cumulative displacements of up to 0.035-0.045 m depending on stabilization depth of points. Although the amplitudes of displacements are not so high as in previous monitoring intervals, they delineate several active areas in the landslide body. The relatively small current displacements can be explained by several reasons including the relatively low amount of cumulative rainfall in winters during the assessed period as the most probable.
