About article:
Benthonic foraminiferal assemblages from the Karpatian of the Czecho-Slovak part of the Central Paratethys have been analysed by BC and BFA. These less known multivariate statistical methods were found to be suitable for present/absence type of data. Blocks of BC were interpreted paleoecologically on the basis of grouped taxons. Analysis of spatial distribution of these blocks and factors enabled a paleogeographical reconstruction of the sedimentary basin and to express the supposition of a connection between the eastern part of the Ipel Basin, Banovce depression, northern part of Vienna Basin and central part of the Carpathian Foredeep.
