About article:
The article deals with the method of assessing the limits of soil erodibility by the wind in all the soil kinds. In the USA it was W. S. Chepil, who was engaged in assessing the limits of erodibility on light soils and arrived at an erodibility limit of 0.84 mm. In the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic V. Pasák and K. Vrána were engaged in applicability and arrangement of that method for local conditions. In view of the fact in wind erosion particles or aggregates with size more than 0.84 are in motion in all soil kinds, a method has been worked up, by means of which a limit of erodibility was assessed in heavy soils to 2.0 mm, in medium- -heavy soils 1.51 mm, in light soils 0.82 mm and in blown sands 1.12 mm. This method is based on measuring both the size of soil aggregates or particles and the changes in their composition under the influence of wind erosion.
