Štúdium priestorového rastu sídiel na báze leteckých snímok a ich digitalizácie

The Work represents a contribution to the study of spatial growth of the settlements in a untraditional way by means of remote sensing methods and digitalization of the data of aerial photographs. Obtaining some comparably precise results on the size of covered areas, as well as the total area of the settlement in three different time horizons we also attained a basic image on the spatial growth of the chosen settlements. The covered areas of the settlements as well as their total areas calculated by DIGEDIT programme were used for the assessment of the intensity and tendency of the growth of individual settlements and they re- veal basis of their spatial growth and tendency of the registered changes. The aim of this work is to present a certain methodological framework for the study of spatial growth of settlements.
