Analýza stability územia volebnej podpory vybraných politických strán (na základe výsledkov volieb 1990, 1992 a 1994)

The aim of this contribution is to select and specify regions of support of the main political parties in Slovakia and to evaluate the regional stability of their support on the basis of comparison of results of three parliamentary elections which were held in the years 1990, 1992 and 1994. We have analysed the regional stability of electoral .support of five political subjects - HZDS (Movement for the Democratic Slovakia), SDL (Party of the Democratic Left), KDH (Christian Democratic Movement), MK (Hungarian Coalition) and SNS (Slovak National Party). The regions of political-party support we have specified on the basis of comparison the relative and absolute support in electoral districts in different years. We have used the method of Jehlička and Sýkora (1991). In spite of the short period of parliamentary democracy in Slovakia, the regional differences in political party support have already emerged.
