About article:
The contribution is dedicated to the issue of hydrological regional typification or regionalisation from the viewpoint of basic conceptual approaches and used methods. Methods of two basic conceptual approaches to hydrological regional division of territory are analysed: 1) identification of physical-geographical regional types or regions and testing of hydrological homogeneity within their framework or heterogeneity among them, 2) identification of hydrologically homogeneous regional types or regions directly on the basis of hydrological characteristics with additional physical-geographical reasoning of their spatial location.
