Zone of aeration of soil is one of the most important and most complete parts of the hydrological cycle. Water storage in the zone of aeration is a big part of the Earth freshwater storage. Temporal course of soil water content in the zone of aeration can be determined by monitoring or mathematical modelling. We offer measuring and computational methods for determining basic hydrophysical, physical, transport, and regime characteristics of soil.

Application:

Diagnosis of the soil water regime and determination of water storage in the zone of aeration for agriculture and forest ecosystems to the purpose of optimal formation and exploitation of water storage.
