Construction of sampling plans - Quality control
Quality of production need not be total in the sense that only certain number of products is chosen and after inspection each of them is classified either as good or as defective. In dependence on the results of the classification the lot is either accepted or declared to be unsatisfactory (or instead of this decision 100% inspection of the lot is performed), the rule for doing this is called the sampling plan. This plans are based on the number of products chosen for inspection and on the admissible number of defective classifications. It is also possible to use so called multistage sampling plans, usually consisting in double sampling, when not one sample but possibly two are drawn from the lot.
