Marie Curie Conference 2006
1. 3. 2006 | videné 1774-krát
Between 10th and 12th April 2006 the University of Manchester will host an international conference
dedicated to Marie Curie Fellows from across Europe.
This event aims to expose approximately 250 of the best early career researchers in Europe to a wide variety of multi-disciplinary lectures, seminars and workshops. The conference will provide a rich combination of high profile, world class speakers, known not only for expertise in their own research areas but their skills in communicating science to a broad audience along with a profoundly ‘bottom up’ approach facilitating young researchers in presenting their work to multidisciplinary groups. In addition to this, a series of training workshops and seminars will run across the event with opportunities to learn, and ask questions about, current policy movements in Europe which will change the research and employment landscape for the delegates.
Themes and topics for work presented are entirely open. However, all presenters are asked to structure their presentation such that it can engage researchers and users outside their immediate research area and thus engage with the conference theme of public engagement with science.
As such, submissions are welcome in, but not limited to, the following areas:
• Chemistry
• Social and human sciences
• Economics
• Engineering sciences
• Information sciences
• Environmental/earth sciences
• Life sciences
• Mathematics
• Physics
The deadline for submission of abstracts and forums is Monday 20th March 2006.
