O článku:
This paper is an attempt at the etymology of the theonym Simarьglъ. The name Simarьglъ may be derived from *Simorьglъ/*Simōrьglъ and is considered to be a compound of Iranian Sīmurgh ‘mythical flying creature’, and *orьglъ ‘eagle’, which is an example of a Slavic taboo word, with epenthetic g. Simarьglъ is then interpreted as a mythical bird and God, as Iranian Sīmurgh is in the Farid al-Din ‘Attar’s Conference of the Birds.
