A. Friedman type statistic for testing the hypothesis of no treatment effect in random block scheme is presented, and its correction for asymptotic variance is derived. Simulation results included show that a currently used method of multiple comparisons has a high risk of wrong decision substantially exceeding risk values of its competitors, considered in this paper.
