O článku:
The central subject and theme of this study is the self-referential discussion, critical analysis and interpretation of the lifestyle, artistic context, and various media and post-media realizations of Slovak Neo-Avant-Garde artist Július Koller. The concepts, artworks, and documents of Július Koller are discussed in relation to Western, Eastern European, Czechoslovakian, and Slovak Neo-Avant-Garde and Conceptual Art. Special attention is given to the analysis and understanding of Koller’s ideas and his realizations of Anti-Happenings, Anti-Paintings, textual works, and the U.F.O. project. The ideologies of Eastern European situationism (Invers Situationism) are confronted with the conditions of Neo-Avant-Garde integration of art and life, that is, alienation and emancipation of human ordinary life. The aim of this study is to confront the singular and universal characteristics of artistic work on the margins of real socialism and the transition of real socialism to capitalism.
