O článku:
The sculptural group of St. Martin and the beggar by Georg Raphael Donner (1693 – 1741) was
commissioned by Primate Emericus Esterházy (1664 – 1745) in 1733. It represents one of the most
important works in the first half of the 18th century. Although several authors have repeatedly discussed
the significance of this artwork, a comprehensive iconological analysis is lacking. Therefore, this study
aims to analyse the altar from an iconological perspective in terms of its function as a coronation altar.
