O článku:
In recent decades, numerous contemporary German-language texts have taken up the theme of neurobiological illnesses, the supposed realm of neurobiology and biomedicine. The boundary between the discourses of literature and biomedicine or neurobiology is crossed in a variety of ways. Sometimes, such literarizations of biomedical knowledge deal with scenarios of memory loss. Against this background, this article analyses Dorothea Zeppezauer’ s novel Noras Gedächtnis (Nora’ s memory, 2023), that, among other things, deals with the question of human memory, or more precisely, with the consequences for the individual of losing individual access to large parts of one’ s biographical memory.
