This paper deals with the interrelation of culture and space. The author, taking the examples of the Slovak and Hungarian ethnic minorities in Prague, presents an attitude to those cultural traits which are perceived and felt as important in the context of the multicultural space of Prague. In addition to this, the author explains what she means by cultural trait and culture, and where, from her perspective, the interrelation of culture and space is situated. Overall, the author´s aim is to verify the shaping function of culture in relation to the phenomenon of space
