Contribution is attempting to familiarize the specialists with the map "Types of relief" of academician Emil Mazúr whom an insidious disease prevented from elaboration of explaining text to the map. At the samé time we should like to pay homage to the life-long work of E. Mazúr that contributed significantly to the development of geomorphology and geographical science in Czecho-Slovakia. The study treats mainly the conception of map construction, its legend and practical utilization. Map construction is based on morphostructural, morphosculptural and morphometric criteria. Map legend contains 148 types of relief in the territory of Slovakia. Colour map on the scale 1: 500 000 reflects not only the manifestations of endogenous and exogenous forces of the contemporary time but also those of neotectonic period fixed in various types of morphostructural or morphosculptural land forms.
