A pronounced growth of crime in Slovakia in the last six year manifests especially in its high concentration to the cities. Especially the large cities experienced a rapid growth of crime, though more or less differently distributed within the individual cities. The aim of the contribution is to identify the risk areas in Bratislava remarkable for the highest crime incidence. Besides the contribution brings a brief characterization of crime level in Bratislava, trends of development and a situational context of the problem areas, i.e. the effect of the environment (social and material) on the crime level.
