Special subideals $B_N$ of the Stickelberger ideal $I$ of the $\ell$th cyclotomic field are investigated ($\ell$ an odd prime, $N$ an integer, $2≤ N≤\ell-1$), also for the $\ell$-adic case and modulo $\ell$, particularly the inclusion relation among them. The dimension of $B_N$ modulo $\ell$ over the residue class field $Z|\ell Z$ is evaluated.
