The paper concerns tests for detection of epidemic alternatives in the mean value of a series of independent observations and estimators of the corresponding change points. Both the classical and robust procedures are discussed. The considered problem belongs to the area known as change point problem with two changes. Simulation study demonstrates the performance of the considered procedures.
