O článku:
Although in literature various results can be found claiming that fuzzy controllers are universal approximators, recently it was shown [B. Moser: A new approach for representing control surfaces by fuzzy rule bases, Phd Thesis, Department of Mathematics, Johannes Kepler University of Linz, 1995], [B. Moser: Sugeno controllers with a bounded number of rules are nowhere dense, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 104 (1999), 269–277] that for Sugeno controllers this property does not hold any longer if the number of the rules is bounded. Namely, it was shown that the set of Sugeno controllers is nowhere dense in the space of continuous functions. In this paper a generalization of the referred result is presented for a wider class of fuzzy controllers. This class contains the Takagi-Sugeno-, and Takagi-Sugeno-Kang-type fuzzy controllers, as well.
