JUDr. Ľubomír Zlocha, PhD.

JUDr. Lubomir Zlocha, PhD. - graduated from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava in 2012, where he was awarded the title Mgr. In 2016 he completed his internal doctoral studies and was awarded the title of PhD. in the field of commercial, financial and economic law. He is currently working as an independent researcher at the Institution of the State and Law of the SAS in Bratislava. He is the author of several professional and scientific articles in the field of commercial law and civil law. In the publication area, he focuses mainly on the issue of unfair competition, advertising, protection of personal rights and freedom of expression. In co-authorship, he published several collections of court decisions, namely a case-law in matters of unfair competition (Iura Edition, 2013), decisions in advertising matters (Iura Edition, 2013), decisions in matters of freedom of expression and personality protection and in 2015 in matters of non-pecuniary damage. He reviewed the second issue of a comment on the Press Act (C. H. Beck, 2021). He has edited several proceedings from domestic scientific conferences: current trends in the field of competition law (2017), current issues of competition law and commercial law (2018), tendencies of development of positive law in selected sectors of legal order (2020). He is a co-author of the first Slovak commentary on the Advertising Act (Wolters Kluwer, 2021). In addition to scientific activities, he has been actively performing law practice since 2012. A significant part of the lawyer's practice is devoted to the provision of legal services in the field of media law. He represents one of the largest publishers in Slovakia. He works as a member of the Press-Digital Council of the Slovak Republic, which is the executive body of the Association for the Protection of Journalist Ethics in the field of ethical self-regulation of journalists.
