Mgr. Miroslava Hlinčíková, PhD. works as a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where she received a PhD in 2013. She has been member of various research teams regarding different minority issues: disadvantaged groups in the society (migrants, minorities, and women), social exclusion, equal opportunities, civic participation, integration, human rights and diversity in urban environment. She has cooperated as an analyst with various NGOs - the Institute for Public Affairs; Citizen, Democracy and Responsibility and Centre for the Research of Ethnicity and Culture. She is the author and co-author of several monographs and studies, such as Integrating People with International Protection in Slovakia: Seeking the Starting Points; Migrants in the City: Present and (Not) Visible and Beyond the Borders of Science? Applied Anthropology in Society.
