RNDr. Norbert Vrbjar, CSc.

Norbert VRBJAR, RNDr, PhD is a biochemist working in the Department of biochemistry at the Institute for Heart Research since 1979. In years 1981-1996 he broadened his knowledge during long term study stays at scientific institutions and universities in Hungary, Canada, Germany and France. His major area of interest is oriented on studies of kinetic properties of ion transporting ATPase systems in cellular membranes in myocardium and kidney. Up to now he is an author or co-author of 78 scientific in extenso papers (60 published in CC journals) with more than 300 citations. He has been serving as principal investigator or coinvestigator of several projects with continuous support from Slovak national grant agencies (VEGA, APVT, APVV).
