Discussions with SAS representatives at a meeting with the Ambassador of France to the Slovak Republic, with his Excellency Christophe Léonzi have yielded exciting results. On the evening of October 4th his Excellency visited SAS and proved himself to be a fan of science and research. With SAS chairman prof. Pavol Šajgalík, they agreed on the need to create new science programs and bring together experts from both countries at the top of their fields.
Christophe Léonzi declared that the French side is ready to help launch and collaborate on top SAS projects. Prof. Pavol Šajgalík drew attention to creating better conditions for young scientists working abroad who are hesitating to return to Slovakia and highlighted that Slovakia has top scientists in the field of research into new materials. Closer co-operation between the scientific institutions of both countries is also to be helped by the idea of a joint scientific workshop with the ambition of opening new spaces and expanding mutual co-operation.
