Programme SASPRO – Mobility Programme of the Slovak Academy of Sciences



The Board of the Programme SASPRO at it first session on 9th April, 2014 approved launching of the 1st call for applications submission to the Programme SASPRO.

The call was launched on 14th April, 2014 and the deadline for applications submission is 10th July, 2014.

Programme SASPRO - a programme of the Slovak Academy of Sciences dedicated for experienced scientists from abroad who are interested in working in the organisations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The program allows them to apply for a fellowship from 12 to 36 months, while the field of science within which they can submit applications is not limited.

The main objective of the Programme SASPRO is to provide for incoming scientists adequate and motivating conditions enabling them to develop career, gain new experience and establish international cooperation. The effort to support the return of Slovak scientists from abroad back to Slovakia is equally important.

Programme SASPRO is divided into two mobility schemes, which are aimed at different target groups:

· Incoming scheme – is dedicated for Slovak nationals who have carried out their main activity in the Third countries at least 3 years prior to the deadline of application submission and who have resided or carried out their main activity in the Slovak Republic for maximum 3 months prior to the deadline of application submission;

· Reintegration scheme scheme - is dedicated for researchers who have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the Slovak Republic for more than 12 months in the last 3 years prior to the deadline of application submission.
