Horizon COEVOLVERS Project Supports the Climate Resilience of the Beskids
The SlovakGlobe research team from the Institute of Forest Ecology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences is seeking optimal solutions to mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis. In the cross-border region of the Beskids, these impacts include a lack of precipitation, extreme drought and subsequent torrential rainfall. Such rainfall swept through the region at the beginning of July this year.
For the fourth year, the COEVOLVERS project’s Living Lab has been working with regional stakeholders to co-create a shared natural resource management system focused on climate-resilient water and forest management. The results are available on the online platform www.beskydyonline.eu.
This digital platform will support the management of common resources, communication and the exchange of best practices, thereby strengthening the climate resilience of this cross-border region.
