New Global Report on Gender Equality in Scientific Organisations
A new global report on gender equality in scientific organisations has been published by the International Science Council (ISC), the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), and the Standing Committee on Gender Equality in Science (SCGES).
The study is based on institutional surveys conducted in 2025 among national academies and international scientific associations. It builds on previous survey cycles and an individual survey among scientists. The report provides updated comparative data on women’s representation, participation, and leadership within scientific organisations, and identifies institutional factors that shape access to opportunities and professional recognition.
In addition, the report offers practical recommendations for scientific organisations seeking to strengthen and advance gender equality.
