The call for applications for the SAS Return Project Scheme opens on February 1, 2026
The SAS Presidium announces the first call for applications in 2026 for support from the SAS Return Project Scheme for parents after maternity/parental leave (two independent calls are announced annually). The scheme aims to support the reintegration of female and male researchers into scientific life after maternity and parental leave.
The call is open from February 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026.

The completed form must be sent electronically to: nps@urad.sav.sk (by March 31, 2026) and also in printed form to: Róbert Karul, Chair of the SAS Commission for Equality, Štefánikova 49, 814 38 Bratislava 1. Only the printed form is signed. Only one language version of the form is to be completed, according to the applicant's preference.
- The eligibility requirement is a minimum of 12 months of "absence" maternity/parental leave, i.e., without concurrent part-time employment in the organisation.
- The return from such "absence" by maternity/parental leave must have occurred no more than 1 year before the date of the call; i.e., applications with a return after February 1, 2025 (inclusive) are eligible.
