Invitation to a Physics Colloquium
The Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (IP SAS), in cooperation with the Slovak National Center for Quantum Technologies (QUTE.sk), invites the scientific community to a physics colloquium entitled Magnetoelectric Phenomena of Non-Centrosymmetric Superconductors. The colloquium will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the QUTE Auditorium, Institute of Physics SAS, Dúbravská cesta 9, Bratislava.
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Denis Kochan, IMPULZ Fellow, who is partially affiliated as a Research Professor at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. During his visit to Slovakia, he will present the latest results of his research on non-centrosymmetric superconductivity, with a focus on the role of spin–orbit coupling, the superconducting diode effect, anomalous Josephson phenomena, and other magnetoelectric effects in quantum materials.
The event is intended for researchers, PhD candidates, physics students, and all those interested in modern superconductivity and quantum materials.
The lecture will be held in English.
