On March 12, 2025, the HPC User Day conference was held at the Aula SAV, bringing together users of high-performance computing (HPC) for a full-day event organized by the Computing Centre SAV. We believe this marks the beginning of a new and valuable tradition that will benefit the entire HPC community in Slovakia. 

The conference focused on information about the HPC system DEVANA and the efficient utilization of computational resurces. Experts from the Computing Centre of SAV introduced participants to various services and tools available for managing and monitoring computational tasks and research projects. They also outlined future development plans and activities in high-performance computing at the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV), continuing the tradition of providing HPC access not only to researchers from SAV institutes but also to various Slovak universities. 

Participants had the opportunity to showcase their projects and research results in a poster session and engage in discussions with fellow attendees. The event provided a valuable platform not only for expert discussions but also for user feedback, which is crucial for the further development of HPC services. 

For future editions, we plan to expand the program with engaging presentations and scientific project showcases from our users. Our goal is to establish a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange, supporting the effective use of HPC infrastructure and fostering cooperation within research communities.
