IMPULZ Projects at Midway: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Prospects

Presentation of the Implementation of the IMPULZ Projects to a Broader Professional Audience will be held at the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences on 20th of February 2025 from 1 PM. The first three projects selected for funding under the initial call of the SAS institutional grant scheme –IMPULZ in 2021 will be presented.

The Impulz project scheme aims to improve the scientific organizations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) by recruiting internationally recognized scientists and highly talented young researchers who come from abroad or do not leave for abroad. The scheme is intended to help increase the Academy's excellence, internationalization and competitiveness in the European Research Area and its success in obtaining prestigious grants.

Project title: Topological Superconductivity in Quantum TwoDimensional Devices

13:30 – 14:00 Denis Kochan from the Institute of Physics SAS

Project title: Superconducting spintronics & emergent phenomena in low-dimensional superconductors

14:00 – 14:30 Jozef Mravec from the Plant Science and Biodiversity Centre SAS

Project title: Aptamer-based analytical platform for in vitro and in situ analyses of complex carbohydrates

The projects are currently at the midpoint of their implementation period. Are you interested in learning about the researchers' achievements so far, the challenges they have encountered, and the future prospects of their projects?
